As tensions continue to rise against Sand, the effects can be clearly seen in everyday life. Violence against Sand residents and members continue to rise rapidly, leading to a mass immigration into the Sand Nation.
Graph of Violence against Sand, 2020 January to June,
provided by the Global Agency for Anti-Sand Research

As seen above violence seem to have significantly increased. This could be due to the Sand Wars and the Dirt Revolutionary Wars that happened a few months ago. Currently, no peace treaties are signed between the Joint Forces (Clay, Silt, Loam) and Sand. This has led to diplomatic conflicts between the 2 forces.
The 2020 Election
As the 2020 Elections approach closer, tensions and hate against Sand has only risen. According the statistics from the G.A.A.S.R, violence has increased by 5% from last year, and 12% from the year before, when compared to this year. The approval rating for Sand has also significantly dropped, falling from 89% in May to 43% in June. None of the violent cases are taken to court, and there are no written laws about violence against Sand members.
As more and more violence happen and crime rates escalate, it would not be surprising to see possible murders of Sand citizens. We would have to wait and see.
I'll remember this during election you silty clay loam bigots.
