According to the official Clay Party announcements, the Clay Party claims to achieve these goals within 3 weeks if they were elected:
- End misrepresentation of Off-Compasses, including Liquid Carbon - Maintain Soil Representation - End unrest between Soil Types - Maximize Economic, Personal, and Political Freedom
We sat down with one of the party leaders, Sen. Terracotta Clay, to discuss about the possible methods taken in order to achieve such goals. Here is the interview:
Q: What is your first goal you want to achieve?
A: We want to end the misrepresentation of Off-Compass Soil Types. They are excluded in global organizations, and rarely trade with us. They are often ignored, and not shown in global maps. This is dangerous. We should end misrepresentation.
Q: And how can that be accomplished?
A: Firstly, I would like to add them into the United Soils. We would start a referendum, to see if they can enter the global community. Secondly, we would also encourage trade and relations with foreign nations. Liquid Carbons make up 34% of the population, but only participate in 1.2% of all trade (Source from United Soils). Thirdly, we would establish embassies in off-compass nations, for easier negotiations.
Q: You claim to maintain soil representation. Why and how will you do it?
A: As you might know, we have currently 3 seats in the Congress of Materials. Soil is required for any architecture, so we should be considered a more important member. I plan to increase our seats to 5 seats, and I will do so with petitions, referendums, and speeches at the C.o.M.
Q: How can unrest be ended in the Soil Compass?
A: More global laws should be implemented. As of today, no global guidelines about peace and co-existence are established. I plan to establish laws that would condemn any invasion that is not agreed by the majority of Soil Types in the United Soils. I also plan to resolve the current border clash by peace treaties.
Q: Is freedom important to you, as well as the Clay Party?
A: Yes! We value Economic, Personal, and Political Freedom. We will condemn any state that incorporates censorship or Absolute Monarchy. We also plan to make a referendum that could reform the current law system to be more like the N.A.P, though it of course, can be voted out.
